Free Standard Shipping

We offer free standard international shipping on orders over $250.
For orders under $250, a flat shipping fee of $40 will apply.

Return Period

You can return any item purchased on uatac.shop within 30 calendar days of receiving it.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for return, items must:

• Be unused, unwashed, and undamaged
• Be in their original packaging
• Include manuals, receipt, and return authorization
• Be returned within 30 days of receipt
• Not be expired (for applicable products)

Only products purchased directly from the UATAC online store are eligible.
Products bought from other retailers must follow their own return policies.

We accept returns only from the country and to the shipping address where the order was originally sent.

The UATAC Multicam Ripstop Climashield APEX 136 winter jacket is the warmer build of our Ripstop winter shell, using a higher-density insulation fill for colder conditions and longer static exposure. It combines genuine military-grade insulation with a durable Ripstop shell and reinforcement in every high-wear zone, and it is designed to pair with UATAC winter pants to form a complete cold-weather system.

Climashield® APEX 136 insulation — more warmth for the cold
The jacket is insulated with Climashield® APEX, a continuous-filament synthetic insulation made in the USA. This is the 136 g/m² build — a higher-density fill than the standard version — so it holds noticeably more warmth for deep cold and for periods when you are static rather than moving. Like all APEX, it is a single continuous sheet of interlocking fibres, so it needs no quilting or baffles: no sewn-through cold spots, and the fill cannot shift, migrate or clump over time. It is the same class of insulation trusted in US and allied military cold-weather systems, including the US Army's ECWCS Level 7.

Warm even when wet
The most important property of APEX in the field is that it keeps you warm even when wet or damp. Down clumps and collapses when it gets wet and loses most of its insulating value; the hydrophobic polyester fibres of APEX absorb almost no water, so the loft — and the trapped air that actually holds heat — survives. The same structure dries fast, so the jacket recovers quickly after rain, snow or heavy exertion.

Light for its warmth
Even at the higher 136 g/m² density, APEX keeps an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and needs no heavy baffle construction, so the jacket stays light and packable for the amount of heat it delivers — warmth you are not paying for in dead weight or bulk under a plate carrier.

Reinforcement in every high-wear zone
The shell is a wind- and water-repellent Ripstop laminate sewn with reinforced German thread. The elbows, shoulders, lower back and waist — the zones most exposed to abrasion from gear, walls and the ground — are reinforced with CORDURA® 500d Multicam Brookwood® USA, a recognised global standard for abrasion and tear resistance. A nylon lining adds further durability, and the jacket is cut to be worn over body armour, a chest rig or other equipment.

Ventilation you control
Two-way ventilation zippers let you regulate temperature during exertion instead of overheating and sweating out your base layers. Opened fully, they help the jacket dry quickly; set correctly, they vent moisture continuously so damp air is drawn out rather than trapped against the body — the difference between staying dry through a long shift and soaking your insulation from the inside.

Pockets and identification
Two large fleece-lined chest pockets and four fleece-lined sleeve pockets warm the hands and keep essentials to hand; four internal pockets — two for documents, two with quick access from the hem — organise the rest. Chest panels carry VELCRO® for patches and the sleeves have areas for chevrons.

Fit and hardware
A removable hood adjusts in two planes for a secure field of view, insulated wrist cuffs seal in heat, VELCRO® cuff regulators and a two-way waist drawstring tailor the fit over layers. All zippers are YKK® (Japan), the reliability standard used by leading technical apparel makers worldwide.

A complete winter system
The jacket is designed to combine with UATAC winter pants (LVL 7) built on the same Climashield® APEX insulation, so the upper and lower body are protected to the same standard — a matched set rather than mismatched layers.

Care
Wash in cold or warm water up to 30°C on a gentle cycle, turned inside out, with all zippers and hook-and-loop fastened. Use mild detergents without aggressive components, bleach or colour enhancers, which break down the fibres and the water-repellent finish. Do not machine dry and do not iron on a high setting — excess heat damages the insulation and the shell. Dry in the shade or at room temperature, laid flat so the insulation keeps its even loft.
