Free Standard Shipping

We offer free standard international shipping on orders over $250.
For orders under $250, a flat shipping fee of $40 will apply.

Return Period

You can return any item purchased on uatac.shop within 30 calendar days of receiving it.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for return, items must:

• Be unused, unwashed, and undamaged
• Be in their original packaging
• Include manuals, receipt, and return authorization
• Be returned within 30 days of receipt
• Not be expired (for applicable products)

Only products purchased directly from the UATAC online store are eligible.
Products bought from other retailers must follow their own return policies.

The UATAC LVL 7 Multicam Membrane Climashield APEX winter pants (Gen 2) are the leg half of a complete cold-weather system — Level 7 insulated trousers for deep cold and low-mobility work, worn over the lighter layers (I–V) of the system. Gen 2 adds full-length side zips and adjustable suspenders for fast on/off over boots and gear, and it pairs directly with UATAC winter jackets on the same insulation.

Climashield® APEX insulation — warmth that works
The pants are insulated with Climashield® APEX, a continuous-filament synthetic insulation made in the USA. Unlike down and unlike cut-staple insulations, APEX is built as a single continuous sheet of interlocking fibres, so it needs no quilting or baffles: no sewn-through cold spots, and the fill cannot shift, migrate or clump over time. It is the same class of insulation trusted in US and allied military cold-weather systems, including the US Army's ECWCS Level 7.

Warm even when wet
The most important property of APEX in the field is that it keeps you warm even when wet or damp. Down clumps and collapses when it gets wet and loses most of its insulating value; the hydrophobic polyester fibres of APEX absorb almost no water, so the loft — and the trapped air that actually holds heat — survives. The same structure dries fast, so the pants recover quickly after rain, snow or heavy exertion.

Light for its warmth
Because APEX is one continuous sheet with an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and no heavy baffle construction, the pants stay light and low in bulk for the warmth they deliver — you keep freedom of movement instead of being packed into stiff, heavy insulation.

Hard Membrane shell with taped seams
The outer fabric is a 100% polyester membrane in a micro-ripstop weave, rated 20,000 mm waterproof with 10,000 mm breathability. Every seam is additionally taped (glued), so water cannot enter through the stitch lines — the usual weak point of insulated trousers. The result is a windproof, water-repellent shell that keeps you dry sitting on wet or snow-covered ground while still letting body vapour escape.

Full-length side zips — on and off without stopping
Two-way side zippers run almost the entire length of each leg. You can pull the pants on and off over boots and equipment without removing your footwear, and open them from top or bottom to vent heat during exertion or when you switch from moving to static. This is what makes a Level 7 layer practical in the field rather than a chore to manage.

Suspenders and adjustable fit
Adjustable suspenders hold the pants in place under a plate carrier and load without relying on a waist belt, and the waist volume adjusts to layer cleanly over the rest of the system. The leg openings close with VELCRO®/button adjustment, and a dedicated hook fixes the trousers to your boot lacing so they stay sealed against snow and wind.

Reinforcement and storage
The knees, seat/pelvic area and cuffs — the zones most exposed to abrasion from kneeling, sitting and boots — are reinforced with CORDURA® 500d Multicam Brookwood® USA. For carrying essentials, the pants add a lumbar pocket and two front pockets, and a nylon lining boosts durability.

Hardware and system
All zippers are YKK® (Japan), the reliability standard used by leading technical apparel makers worldwide. The pants are designed to combine with UATAC winter jackets on the same Climashield® APEX insulation, forming matched upper- and lower-body protection — the trousers half of a full cold-weather kit.

Care
Wash in cold or warm water up to 30°C on a gentle cycle, turned inside out, with all zippers fastened. Use mild detergents without aggressive components, bleach or colour enhancers, which break down the membrane, the taped seams and the fibres. Do not machine dry and do not iron on a high setting — excess heat damages the membrane and the insulation. Dry in the shade or at room temperature, laid flat so the insulation keeps its even loft.
